Healing Happens Here

Materials and resources laid out for the Wednesday Celebrate Recovery meeting.

On Wednesday afternoons, as the workday winds down, a white van merges into the slow-moving Baltimore traffic. Its route winds through the city, stopping to welcome men and women. Soon, the van will arrive at The Garden Mission in West Baltimore, where 14–18 people gather every week for Celebrate Recovery.

Celebrate Recovery is more than a program—it’s a Christ-centered pathway to hope, freedom, and healing. By applying the 12 steps in conjunction with biblical principles rooted in the Beatitudes, people discover that Jesus can bring wholeness to every aspect of life. While some come with struggles related to alcohol or drugs, others arrive carrying hurts like abuse, divorce, fear, anxiety, gambling, loneliness, anger, or shame. Week by week, people are learning that they don’t have to walk through their struggles alone.

At The Garden Mission, lives are being changed. Tears are being replaced with joy. Chains are being exchanged for freedom. People are learning what it means to experience heaven on earth, one day at a time, through Jesus Christ.

When you support The Garden Mission, you are helping create a place of belonging and transformation in West Baltimore. You are fueling the van that brings people to the door. You are making space for healing conversations. You are part of something bigger than yourself—helping restore lives, families, and our city.

Thank you for believing that Jesus still brings hope where it’s needed most.
